In recent years, with the rapid development of Ethernet technology, thetraditional audio transmission industry has been significantly challenged.Compared with the traditional audio transmission technology, the network digitaltechnology is more easily to be managed, monitored and controlled. In addition,its data transmission capacity is excellent. Undoubtedly, these are thedevelopment direction of the future traditional audio transmission technology. Atpresent, Ethernet is the mainstream computer LAN technology. Its applicationhas spread to various fields. The CobraNet used in this design is a kind ofprofessional digital audio network transmission technology based on Ethernet.With its nice interoperability, low costs and it can transmit high-quality non-compressed audio signal reliably and steadily, the CobraNet becomes the mostcommonly used network audio technology of real-time transmission. With thesoftware on the host computer, we can implement audio switching andtransmission functions. The incoming analog audio signal is digitalized throughthe A/D converter of the audio equipment, and then the audio data is converted tothe data format that is in line with network transmission standard via CobraNettechnology. The CobraNet receiving apparatus gets the data format over thenetwork. After inverse transformation and extraction, the received data convertedto matching analog audio signal through the D/A converter. The thesis is mainlyto design the whole system of digital audio transmission network, whichswitching center is CobraNet audio equipment. Finally, the48kHz,20bit audiosignal transmission through the Ethernet realized in this system.This article is to design the hardware of audio efferent system that centerson FPGA. Based on this hardware platform, this article focuses on the analysis ofconfiguration circuits of FPGA and audio matrix control method. Next, HMI port is designed that consists of the set conversion address and read and write registerdata. At the same time, other parts of the CobraNet network hardware audiotransmission system are introduced, such as audio codec circuit andcommunication circuit. With the detail research to the function of every module,we can have a clearer understanding of the CobraNet device works and theremote transmission process of Ethernet audio signal.
