China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting(CMMB) provides radio andtelevision program services for all types of portable mobile terminals, it has gotrapid development in recent years. In process of CMMB construction, thenetwork coverage testing provides reliable data basis for its network adjustmentand optimization.In the past, CMMB network monitoring platform can only monitoring thethe original signal parameters of the original transmission equipment, or have theproblem of collecting a small amount of information and the process of signalacquisition was too Cumbersome. To overcome these disadvantages, this paperdesigns a new set of intelligent network monitoring system for CMMB City U-band network. Current GPRS communication network is used in this design totransmit data so that it can ensure system’s real-time performance and improveits monitoring range at the same time. The design uses a modular design conceptfor hardware platform design. High-performance processer STM32F103is usedas central controller in monitoring terminal to complete all of the task schedulingand information processing work. Terminal board hardware mainly includessignal demodulation module, power measurement modules, core controllermodule, memory module, GPRS module, GPS module and temperaturemeasurement module, which achieve the function of the acquisition of signalquality information, latitude, longitude, temperature information and systemcommunication respectively. The terminal uses an independent measuring circuitto get accurate measurement of the signal power. In order to improveenvironmental adaptability, solar power system is used in terminal as powersupply for the entire card. In process of CMMB intelligent network monitoring system design, Cadence15.5is used as assistant tool to complete circuitschematic and PCB design. The design develops terminal controller internalfirmware in Keil uVision4development environment, realizes the function ofinformation collection and the communication between the terminal and theserver. GPS module and server GIS components complete the visual display ofthe location of each monitoring points and their test parameters, so that it canachieve the purpose of real-time monitoring and management of multiplemonitoring points in city use only one server. Field test and optimization for thewhole system are given in the end. The idea of modular design enhances theflexibility and scalability of the system.
