For various types of tickets, the large amount of complex customer information, there is great difficulty in its management, especially in early times using only paper and human to manage it. In this way the information is prone to incomprehension, high error rate and other issues, combined with constraints of storage media; it is difficult for long-term effective management.As the rapid development of computer networks and online shopping, e-ticketing business model came into being. Electronic ticketing has had high-speed development in ticketing during recent years. It has as many advantages as possible besides its easy to use, low operating costs, enhancement the competitiveness of enterprises. In order to effectively seize this market opportunity, and make a growth of their business, they put forward the concept of developing the electronic ticketing system.The ticketing system is developed in B/S and C/S mode. In B/S mode, the system is a website which allows a user to browse and order online server site. The site is responsible for displaying venders’ ticket information, purchasing tickets, and generating ticket details into encrypted two-dimensional code image which can be printed. At the same time, in C/S mode, the system provides a client program which is used to verify and check tickets to venders, the client program communicates with the server via the technology of Web Service. In addition to providing the functions above, it can also provide the password changing service. Therefore, the development of the system means development of both server-side also client-side. The server program adopts Spring+Struts2+Hibernate+JavaEE framework for development, with database using postgreSQL, while the client program is developed by C#language. In the same time, in order to reduce server load, client locally has saved the checked ticket information, with database using mature object-oriented database db4o.
