In recent years, the country’s economics has a rapid development. State grid system also reform to keep pace with the times. Since2005, electricity coal prices kept rising. And compared with the same period increased40%above, and there is still no signs of price. Now in the environment of electric power industry rapid development, fuel will be the serious influence and restriction power plant survival and become a development important factor. So how to actively respond to the change to fundamental solve power plant coal fuel problems, so as to achieve the maximum profit power plant, that will be faced with all the power plants and studied important issue.This topic study the group intelligence algorithm in power plant fuel management application. It is mainly aimed at the choose and buy of coal in the vehicle routing problem do a deep research. We applly swarm intelligence algorithm to power plant fuel management process, to get the optimization sloustion on the purchase of coal, matching and related problems. So that the power plant can reduce cost, and improve efficiency.This paper first introduce the vehicle routing problem, it is the core problem in coal power plant of management. In the article introduces the concept of vehicle routing problem and mathematical model, then we classify the existing vehicle routing problem. And we introduce existing the classical algorithms to solve vehicle routing problem and compare them.And next we introduce group of intelligent algorithm, and emphases on ant colony algorithm and particle swarm algorithm. Respectively introduces the basic principle of them, the mathematical model and the algorithm process. And with the advantages and disadvantages of the existing algorithm, this paper proposes an improved algorithm, through some cases we analysis and compare algorithms Thenthe we get the sloustion that the improved algorithm to solve in the problem is feasibility and effectivenessFinally the improved ant colony algorithm and particle swarm algorithm is applied to the coal power plant respectively in the management of a practical case. Through the simulation results and the analysis of the data it can be seen that the improvement of swarm intelligence algorithm can correct and effective solve the problem of coal power plant, so as to achieve the purpose of the research...
