The Research On SNS-based Learning Platform For Art College

As E-learning becoming one of the major learning method in the21st century, reform ofteaching method has been put forward in the new national curriculum reform. SNS-basedlearning, as a new learning method, has several advantages compared with traditional learningmethod, such as provoking innovative thinking and critical thinking, helping students improvetheir communication skills and develop their teamwork. SNS-based learning is such aneffective way that it worth being introduced to our higher education system.In this context, by analyzing the current state and existing problems of both domestic andoverseas researches, relevant concepts and theories are discussed, and the possiblity ofbuilding a SNS-based platform is surveyed and analysized, based on which a model oflearning platform customized for fine art academies’ students is designed in this paper. Forthis model, requirements analysis has been done, and essential functional modules suchas video-on-demand, course notes, course discussions, activities and personal space havebeen implemented.This is an attempt to apply SNS technology to our teaching practice, intending to helpcreate a relaxing,interactive and effective learning atmostphere, which helps inspire students’participation, subjectivity and motivation during their learning. With technical development,SNS-based learning method is promising to be applied to more aspects and fields, and maybecome one of the most common access to knowledge for us all.
