In the rapid development of IP technology and constantly promote the triple play, thedigital TV front-end system is getting into large capacity, multi-service and IP. Systemequipment based on IP technology have high degree of integration, function of signal have themultiplexing, scrambling, processing, scheduling, backup protection and so on. Greatlyimprove the operational efficiency and safety broadcast performance, accord the demand ofrich program content and multi-service signal scheduling.Ethernet interfaces instead ASIinterface, the IP network to carry TS signal digital television technology has become a newtrend. Therefore research the technology of IP digital TV front-end system has importantsignificance.This article based on the author engaged in digital TV front-end system of technical workpractical experience, introduced the basic situation of China’s digital TV and IP digital TVtechnology advantages, analyzed of the existing ASI and IP digital TV front-end system status,composition and the advantages of IP-based system, proposal of building a new generation offront-end system must be considered. Studied the key technology of the IP-based digital TVfront-end system, including the IP multicast mechanism, TS Over IP related protocols, packetencapsulation technology and IP stream of MDI monitoring technology. Based on the currentdomestic and foreign IP digital TV front-end systems and the application of IP devices fromdifferent manufacturers, studied the IP digital TV front-end systems technology solutions.From the system function, architecture design, backup protective mechanism, devicestechnical indicators,devices selection and the system signal integrity monitoring made adetailed description.Combined with design, construction and maintenance for the all-IP of the GuangzhouAsian Games private network front-end system that the author has been involved before,according to the experience gained during this period, the fifth chapter described theembodiments of the Asian Games private network, pointed out that the technicalcharacteristics of the system, analyzed the various problems and difficulties encountered inpractice, proposed core switching concept,multi-backup protective mechanism to protectbroadcast and solve the delay problem with the fixed length transmission IP packet, this paper also discusses how to test the quality of the signal. This article provides the results of areference for the future to build around IP-based digital TV front-end system.
