With the rapid development of information technology, higher requirements are put forward about information security and transmission rate in various industries.Therefore,enterprise instant messaging system emerges.Compared with the traditional personal messaging software, enterprise instant messaging system is more secure and expandable.Otherwise, according to enterprise users’needs,designers could develop different function modules. It can also abandon all sorts of entertainment information and commercial advertisements etc.To some extent, these designs could improve employees’work efficiency.First, the paper analyzes the current development state of instant messaging system and introduces the significances and efforts of enterprise application on enterprise instant messaging system, lists emphases and difficulties of the design on enterprise-class instant messaging software, these are security and timeliness.Instant messaging system is mainly divided into two parts, P2P mode and server transfer mode. For the purpose of business application, the paper chooses the server transfer mode whose management is more concentrated and secure.Base on this work pattern, the paper introduces the overall framework design and implementation about every module of the server. Among them, route server plays a key role in this design; it is responsible for transferring all data from the whole system. Then, business server is primarily responsible for handling specific requests and the database server is responsible for store users’ information.What’s more, the paper also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages between TCP and UDP, combines the high-speed transmission rate of UDP and reliabilities of TCP. This design greatly improves the speed of the file transfer under LAN environment which is based on RUDP (reliable UDP), especially for enterprise-wide. Aim at the security and timeliness on enterprise instant messaging, in order to take the security and transmission efficiency of data into account, the paper combines the symmetric encryption algorithm AES and asymmetric encryption algorithm ECC, I design hybrid encryption algorithm, server system also use multiple user authentication and information encryption technology and so on, further improve the security and timeliness about information exchange. Finally, this paper tests and analyses every function modules and overall system performance, summarizes this research, puts forward someshortcomings in the design as well as unresolved issues and it also shows the point and direction for the next step.
