Design And Implementation Of Ship Navigation System Based On Android

In recent years, ship navigation equipment rapidly growing popularity. They are equipped on various merchant ships, cargo ships, fishing boats. But in the most popular mobile operating systems there has seldom ship navigation application. This ship navigation system was designed and implemented base on the Android system. It provides ship users with a new operating experience, and another navigational aid besides a dedicated navigation device.The main task of this project is designing and implementing ship navigation system running on an Android phone. It first analyzes the current development of ship navigation systems, and then the related technologies are introduced, including the Android system, ship navigation systems and satellite positioning systems. Second, the paper analyzes the ship navigation system’s basic functions, including the chart display, ship position trace, ship navigation, track record, location mark and alert function. According the system’s basic functions, the system’s overall design was given, it includes the chart module, positioning module, the storage module and the compute module. Finally there are detailed description of the main functions of the system’s detailed design and implementation, as well as system testing and related instructions.The ship navigation system discussed was focusing on the use of the services and application framework provided by Android system to simplify the development process. It implements the basic functions on an Android mobile phone which meet the ship navigation’s requirement.And it provides reference for the Android-based professional ship navigation equipment.
