Based On B/S Structure Of The Elective System Design And Implementiation

The construction of information technology is very important to enhance theuniversity reform and productivity. This thesis based on the actual situation ofNanchang Normal University and with the Nanchang’s existing information technologyputs forward a complete curriculum system.The manual distribution system’s efficiency is low and easy to make errors whenarrange the schedule. We can take some of the advanced technology to realizeautomated course scheduling system and the elective system. The large number ofstudents can choose a course through the network. It not only brings convenience tostudents, but also reduces the error. This can improve efficiency and make full use ofuniversity resources.My article Introduces the system relevant knowledge at the beginning. And thenin-depth explans the overall design of the system, including database design andimplementation of the elective system and the course scheduling system. The last partof the paper is on the design of the online election and scheduling system developmentprospect.The system has two parts,.One is the schedule arrangement subsystem and theother is courses selection subsystem. The fist chooses the C/S structure, while the otherselects the B/S structure. Useing the C/S structure, the users through a specificalnetwork protocol visit the server data. This technology is not only ripe enough andhave no difficulty in carrying out but aslo witeh a low cost.Adopted B/S structure,the courses selection subsystem don’t need any client whouses the system to install the special client program.Such as IE or any other alternativebrowser can substitute the general browser. B/S structure’s advantage is that all of the office system’s information is stored in the server. By installing, maintaining andupgrading the browser,the whole system can also play the same role.The latter part ofmanpower and material inputs can be reduced because it don’t need a lot ofmaintenance work,. It will be widely covered and easy to popularize as using browser.
