In recent years, as China’s economy continues to accelerate, the construction ofhigh-speed rail into the leap-forward development period, the demand for signalcoverage and quality is rising, traditional covering cannot meet the user’s basiccommunication needs. Design speed of high-speed rail is300km/h in China, across themountains, plains, tunnels, river and other complex terrain, as well the high-speedmovement and airtight body about CRH, these cause the train emerging low connectionrate, call drop rate, and poor voice quality, user perception and reputation carriersdeclining, how to do high-speed rail signal covers become an urgent problem for threemajor operators.This paper is to address the problem, reach the Chengdu-Mianyang-Leshan、Chengdu-Dazhou high-speed railway mobile signal coverage as the main object ofstudy in Sichuan region, have the detailed analysis on the causes of GSM networkquality deterioration. On the basis, form a complete planning building program, andcombined with the actual optimization cases, parameter settings in different high-speedmobile scenario is suggested ulteriorly. The main contents are:1. The difficulties of high-speed railway signal coverage is analyzed in this paper,this paper focuses on wireless environmental features of high-speed rail, including bodypenetration loss analysis, Doppler effect analysis, and the access performance impact.2. From the link budget, capacity estimation, site selection, equipment selection,planning and other aspects away from the station, mainstream high-speed rail coverageplanning and solutions is summarized, comparing to private network and publicnetwork construction methods, fiber optic repeaters and base stations distributednetworking. And covering ways for various tunnels, across road, station, location areaboundary and other special scenarios is under the discussion.3. Nanjing-Hangzhou high-speed rail planning selection process and some mainprograms and construction effect about high-speed rail that has been completed isanalyzed. On the basis, summarize effective programs for high-speed rail coverage inSichuan region.4. The Coverage for high-speed railway in Sichuan is planned. Grasping allhigh-speed rail profiles in Sichuan, Chengmianle intercity railroad is taken for the example for network planning, completing link budget, inter-cell protection distancecalculation, antenna selection, tunnel covering methods research for GSM network andTD-SCDMA network, and the public network and private network demarcation pointsettings in Chengdu segment is analyzed. Chengda railroad is taken for the example fornetwork construction and optimization, cover demand and coverage plans are developedSub-sections, using new method of power ancillary to reduce difficulty of constructionand investment costs; the key point of high-speed rail network coverage optimization isdivided to coverage optimization and parameter optimization, on the basis of thenetwork building by optimizing means to improve the overall quality.
