In recent years, high speed railway develops quickly due to its convenience and comfort, and becomes the first choice of high level clients in short distance travel. However, high speed movement and high penetration loss raise many difficulties in the construction of network. The coverage and the quality of high speed network, as a result, are viewed as benchmarks between network operators.At the beginning of this paper, key problems in the planning of CDMA2000 are formulated, such as propagation model,link budget,capability,interference, etc. Moreover, factors like Doppler shift,penetration loss,signal angle of incidence,switch Capability are discussed in the scenario of high speed railway. The method and procedure of planning in high speed CDMA2000 network are also proposed.This paper is based on the case of high speed railway CDMA2000 in Jiangxi Province. After analyzing the existing problems in the network and predicting the results by simulation, the paper proposes a scheme in the construction of high speed railway CDMA2001 1X and CDMA2000 1X EV-DO RevA network. Jiangxi Telecom implements the construction according to this scheme.At the end of this paper, the results of simulation are compared with the actual consequence in the construction. Potential causes are also analyzed.Through theoretic research of network planning, this paper proposes the method and procedure of planning under special scenario of high speed railway CDMA2000 network. The method and procedure are tested and verified to effectively promote the quality of network planning.
