Green lighting is proposed as a new policy in lighting field in early1990s, which aims tosave energy and protect environment. The adoption of energy conservation can reduce theharmful emission of gas as well as light pollution.Campus illumination energy conservation monitoring and management system is tomonitor energy-saving lighting and video surveillance, ensuring basic safety on campus andconserving resources.This thesis is focused on "research and development as well as application of city publiclighting energy saving control and intelligent management system", which is researchprojects supported by Liaoning Province Science and Technology Office of Education. Todiscuss implementation of the system based on streaming media network monitoring andmanagement system needs analysis, system design and implementation. The system canfulfill the video capture, video, real-time multicast and brightness control. This thesispresents a lighting control system design based on image processing technique. And thedesign can effectively reduce the cost and improve the utilization efficiency of theequipments.The thesis is to use existing main campus safety equipment and safety monitoring andcontrol, lighting illumination energy conservation.The main productions of this thesis are summarized as follow:(1) According to the characteristics of campus, it was proposed based on the campus oflighting planning.(2) Lighting energy conservation monitoring and management system of campus wasdesigned and implemented.(3) A method based on image processing technology of lighting saving energy control.The system is mainly used in public lighting control (such as classrooms, roads, squares,etc.). It can achieve security in monitoring and energy saving and at the same time ensure theuniformity of lighting effects, protect the eye health and extend the life-span of light sources.
