The Design And Implementation Of Commodity Management System Based On Web

At present, many stores’ information management still falls behind, staffs have a large labor intensive and low work efficiency which forces sales and management staffs put a lot of efforts in transactional work. Therefore, a set of system which is suitable for enterprise’s commodity management should be established to solve daily problems and satisfy urgent needs in commodities, customers, employees and financial management.The system contains effective management of the enterprise’s daily work, whole track of the enterprise’s activities and detailed control of all data which services sales and management staffs.This paper describes a design and development process based on Web commodity management system.Analyzing business scope and job characteristic, a general overview of the system is made.In order to obtain the functions users need and specific needs of users, we collect information on commodity management through various methods.Based on the system requirements elicitation, a detailed analysis of system’s future functions is done and the the specific problems for the next development work are known as well.Then a detailed description of technical architecture design, application system function architecture design, detailed functional design and database design is made.Finally, the core functionality of the system is showed with the help of a series of system functional screenshots, some core codes are also listed to better display implementation of system function. In addition, the core functionality test cases are enumerated to avoid unnecessary mistakes in the future.Merchandise inventory management, consumption management, membership card management, financial management, personnel management and system settings are designed in the system which include main business of commodity management.The six sub functions are able to realize the management of commodities, customers, employees, finance, departments and system maintenance which greatly reduce the workload of store staffs, improving efficiency of the management and quality of service in commodity management.The operation of the system basically meets the needs of users, saving a lot of manpower and resources of the company in terms of customers, employees, merchandises and financial management which brings a large number of economic benefits in some way.
