Accompanied by advances in technology and increased usage, the Internet has become the biggest information center. The use of the internet messages for the traditional media has also become a media phenomenon. However, the openness of the Internet and the low degree of access makes all sorts of information quality on the network. How to choose and use Internet sources in traditional media has become a matter of concern.In order to have a macroscopic and a microscopic understanding of the present situation and characteristics of the internet message source using by traditional media, this article firstly use content analysis, using four newspapers including Southern Metropolis Daily, Beijing Youth Daily, River Daily, the Western China Urban Newspaper as the research object, based on the theory of Communication Studies and Journalism, analyzed the use of the Internet news source of the news coverage in four newspapers, statistical, and thus summed up the status and characteristics of the use of the Internet news source for newspapers. Finally, from the perspective of media integration and information ethics explored the use of Internet news sources to the traditional media.Through research and analysis, I found four newspapers all have used the Internet news source. Among them, the use of Internet sources in the society and people’s livelihood news reports is the most common; using it as an information source platform on the internet by Newspaper reports is given priority to Twitter and BBS; the function of Internet news source in news reports is mainly to describe emotion expression of Internet users and quote their comments; the publisher of internet sources used in the news reports of is given priority to Internet users.In the new media environment, the traditional media use Internet sources has become a common phenomenon. However, the existing usage situation lacks of certain normative, even deviates from the news reporting standard. Therefore, it is necessary from the news ethical point of view to discuss guidelines for the use of the Internet news source in traditional media. From the macro level, firstly, the traditional media should maintain a calm attitude in the "national carnival "Internet environment, strictly on the principles of authenticity to control news from Internet sources. Secondly, accomplish the conversion of the functions of traditional media in the new media environment; in the context of the Internet, the functions of the traditional media are more inclined to the selection and verification of information. Finally, the traditional media in the Internet environment should be pay more attention to the construction of media credibility, open up a new fertile soil of "citizen journalism". From the micro level, the traditional media should formulate strict Internet sources using standard, to standardize the news writing, editing process in use of Internet sources.
