The safety of tires has been a concern problem, traffic accidents caused by a puncture are common. Blow-out Monitoring and Brake System is an accident avoidance system which can monitor the changing pressure and temperature of tires in a real-time. This paper was the first proposed the combination of tire pressure monitoring system and exhaust brake assist device. Once finding the abnormal pressure and temperature, the exhaust brake assist device will brake the vehicle actively and snatch a valuable3-5seconds for the driver which can reduce the hazards of a puncture to a minimum or even no.In this paper, Blow-out Monitoring and Brake System consists of three main modules: tire monitoring module, receiving and alarm module, receiving and brake module. Tire monitoring modules which can monitor the changing pressure and temperature of tires in a real-time are installed in each tire. Once finding the abnormal pressure and temperature, tire monitoring module will transmit a radio frequency signal. After receiving the RF signal, the receiving and alarm module will sound an audible alarm which prompts the driver to release the brake plate and clutch in order to a smooth start of exhaust brake assist device. After receiving the RF signal, the receiving and brake module brake vehicle by controlling the brake switch of exhaust brake assist device.We have built a complete hardware platform of Blow-out Monitoring and Brake System in this paper. We have introduced the hardware structure of the system detailed and investigated the characteristics、functional pin、internal structure、working methods of the used chips deeply; At the same time, we have designed the software implementation process of Blow-out Monitoring and Brake System. We describe ideas of design and methods of the software from three parts of data collection and processing、wireless signal transceiver、alarm function and braking function. In addition, this article focuses on the key technologies of Blow-out Monitoring and Brake System, including the controlling of exhaust brake assist device, wireless digital communications, the antenna and matching network.Blow-out Monitoring and Brake System can take the initiative to reduce the risk of a puncture, is a worth and needed issue to be investigated deeply. The majority of researchers need to work together, so that Blow-out Monitoring and Brake System can be developed towards to the road of industrialization, surly benefit of the people.
