This paper analyzes the basic principles of optical communications and describes the role and relationship of encoder in optical communication. Then research the key technology of video coding:frame prediction, interframe prediction, transform and quantization, entropy coding and filter to block effect. The focus of this article is about interframe coding algorithm, a kind of improved inter-frame prediction algorithm is finally proposed based on a detailed analysis of the various fast-search algorithms. Firstly, we need to optimize the rate distortion, and then to optimize the fast algorithm. The optimization of fast algorithm can be divided into the following three steps:determine a SKIP mode rapidly; chose a inter-frame prediction model; chose a intra-frame prediction model. The proposed algorithm greatly improves the coding efficiency and compression efficiency at the cost of reducing the quality of faint video. At last, the improved algorithm is transplanted to DSP platform which has been realized. In addition, Improving DSP coding performance by software pipelining and inline function in this paper.
