As rapid development of information technology and internet, digital video has already become one of the most important mean to get information. It also becomes the hot field in electronic information research. Video information is been adopted because of its characteristics of bringing a lot of information intuitionistic. Genaerally, viedeo information is large of data. For large number of information need to be stored or transmited, original video data should be encoded.The development of video encoding technology requests video encoding standard to develope. Now MPEG, H.26x and AVS series standard are the domestic and international video encoding standard in the world. Among this, AVS is independent intellectual rights of video coding standard by our nation.As a result of large information of data, the processor that encode video information requires powerful capability of computing. DSP(Digital Signal Processor) with powerful processing capability, is competent for digital computing. TMS320DM642 and TMS320C6455 that produced by TI are high-powered processor with wide range of applications.A programme of video encoder based on multi- DSP is put forward in this paper. And the programme is focused on intra prediction, inter Prediction, quantification, transform, entropy coding, loop filter and data storage processes and data structure. We take advantage both of procedures-and DSP-level optimization technology to optimize the performance of encoder according to the analysis of performance.Finally, the result of the encoder test shows that the performance of the encoder meets the requirement.
