The paper made a depth study on the optoelectronic detection technology of the bearing’s inner and outer diameters. On this basis, an effective method which can simultaneously measure the bearing’s inner and outer diameters was proposed. And then, the paper designed a photoelectric detection system of the bearing’s inner and outer diameters. The paper built an optoelectronic detection system after the selection of the components required, and using software programming to realize the functions of various parts of the system.The paper found the superiority of machine vision systems in the detection field by comparing the technical of bearing detection at home and abroad, and combined the machine vision with Visual C++software together to propose the system design of photoelectric detection system of bearing’s inner and outer diameter. To determine the type of detection system components, including the type of light source, lighting style, industrial camera model, lens model and image acquisition card model. Using a kind of Median filtering method to filter the noise. This method dealt with single and noise separately. Using Laplacian to conduct image sharpening. To do image segmentation Through peak and valley method. Doing edge detection through Marr-Hildreth. This operator is based on Laplacian and joined with the Gaussian operator to make the image of the bearing edge more clear. Finally calibrated the system by colorimetry, and analysis a variety of factors to produce errors.By measuring the two different models bearing’s diameter, proving the accuracy and the measuring range of the system. The measuring range of the detection system:inner diameter Φ10mm~Φ70mm、outer diameter Φ30mm~Φ90mm. The accuracy is±5μm.The system achieved high detection accuracy, non-contact, high-precision, real-time online testing.
