For the current battery-powered wireless sensor network its energy islimited and disadvantage of its service life. Based on magnetically-coupledresonant wireless power transfer theory, a dual antenna structure wireless sensornode enabled by wireless powered was proposed to solve the problems above.Based on the RFID technology complete the power supply of wireless senornetwork, and the wireless communication frequency is2.4GHz, on this frequencythe system complete the wireless communication between the senor nodes and thedata terminal. A system was built to test the stability of the senor nod andaccuracy of the senor data. In this system a standard RFID reader working in915MHz band was used as the power source that can give the wireless senor nodepower supply which distribute in a3meters area. A nRF24L01module is taken toachieve short distance wireless communication. A MSP430F149chip was chosenas the processor for its low-power feature and DS18B20chip and photoresistorwere chosen as the temperature or optical sensors to finish data collection. The experimental results show that greater power consumption yieldsshorter power supply distance. The maximum power supply distance oftemperature sensor nod is2.8m and for optical sensor node is3.1m. The responsetime is within7s and the accuracy is within5%deviation compared withlaboratory equipment. The experimental results show that wireless sensor nodesenabled by wireless powered only can form a star topology which is the simplesttopology. For shielding effects it is very difficult to form other complextopologies.
