The general content and process of the design of the structure of various radar transmitters was addressed in this paper in detail. Based on a deeply analysis of the whole process during blue print-design and detail-design, the main factors which hinder the enhancement of the design efficiency were found out.This paper focused on the research on modularization, standardization and serialization of the structure of the radar transmitter, including the structure dimension and part category of the whole transmitter and its units. Meanwhile, integrated and all-around design criterion was expected to be established while using the three-dimension design software. Furthermore, plenty of research work was carried out in order to change the traditional "Down-Top Design" concept and improve the function the three-dimension design software. Based on the research work above, several approaches were brought forward as follows:First, a storeroom in the direction of modularization, standardization and serialization of the structure of the radar transmitter was established.Second, based on the structure characteristic of the radar transmitter, a design criterion was established while using the Pro/Engineer software.Third, the advanced design concept "Top-Down Design" was induced into new design tasks to replace the traditional working habits.Fourth, exploitation work was carried out based on the Pro/Engineer software, while the developed modules and tools can enhance the design efficiency remarkably.By practical validation, the outcome of this paper has obtained prospective effects on improving the design efficiency and reducing the design cycle of new product. The outcome of this paper is also applicable for the design of the structure of other radar parts.
