A Design And Implementation Of Operation And Maintenance System On Campus Network

The rapid development of computer network technology has brought great social change. Products to Internet as the representative of the information age have gone deep into people’s work, life, study and other fields. Along with the rapid development and popularization of Internet, the difficulties of network maintenance also grow with each passing day.As an important part of Internet, campus network plays an important role. In recent years, with great popularization and the development of educational informationalization, campus network scale unceasingly expands, new technologies and equipments are being put into use, and the functions and performances of the campus network are greatly enriched and enhanced. Users access network resources more convenient, thus to the campus network dependency is greater. A lot of management information systems, such as the campus card system, educational management system, and financial management system depend on the campus network. Subsequently, the network once appears problem, it will impact on a large scope, and the consequences are more serious. This requires the campus network to be more reliable, and stable. But because of the complexity of network system and the faults can be unpredictable, the network operation and maintenance is more difficult. How to reduce the number of the network faults, shorten the time for fault recovery, it becomes a long-term problems for network operation and maintenance.Generally, with the traditional network maintenance, the administrator waits for user report network faults passively, and then handles them. The lack of active mechanism, supervision and management of fault handling process and inefficiency, decreases the reliability of network operation. In this paper, combined with the actual process of the campus operation and maintenance, designs and realizes the campus network operation and maintenance system, improve the network operation efficiency, and ensure the reliability of campus network operation and maintenance.Firstly, the paper beginning with the present situation and the problems of traditional campus network operation and maintenance, and combined with some considerations and measures of the daily campus network operation and maintenance, proposes appropriate design of campus network operation and maintenance system; secondly, modularize the function of the campus network operation and maintenance system, and then uses the appropriate technical means to realize the function; finally, validate the results in the actual campus network operation and maintenance process, and put forward the advices and suggestions for modifications.The research results of the thesis, has important practical significance for stable and reliable operation of the campus network.
