Design And Implementation Of A Database Remote Backup System

With the rapid development of Office automation and E-commerce, enterprises’sdependence on the Information Systems becames more and more higher. Especially inthose industries with very demanding data reliability, including Banking, securities,telecommunications, etc., the database system has become an important role for theprotection of information security. As a result, it is necessary to design and develop aremote backup system to provide better protection on the data, which will makebackup and disaster recovery work much more convenient and intelligent.After the thorough analysis of the direction of development and applicationconditions about domestic and international database backup, focused on the designand application of database data replication technology, I develop a logical datareplication backup system based on KingbaseES, making remote backup ofKingbaseES database functional. Firstly, we carried out a detailed analysis of the userenvironment and demand, formulated a data replication solution for the backupsystem, Applying a asynchronous replication plan which capture update d informationfrom redo logs of the primary database and analyze them into logical data and sentthem to the backup database to synchronous execute.Secondly, an overall design ofthe replication system was completed based on KingbaseES database, including thelogical structure of a four-level system and the key functions of the process flow,Physical log analysis etc.; Thirdly, the designs of three function modules aboutcapturing, applying and supporting were finished, also containing those the functionand process flow of sub modules; Finally, all the expected functions based onKingbaseES were carried out, and the functionality and reliability test run on thisdesign suggested that this system is capable of remoting backup KingbaseESdatabase.Throgh the usage of query from Remote standby database Receiving andapplication system OLAP, this system share the pressure of the production database,so the data security of production database is highly improved from this system.Besides, the design of the system also reduce the pressure on server, Data BaseSystem and network significantly.
