With the popularization of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet computers, the number of mobile users is increasing day by day,and people are gradually entering the era of mobile Internet. In order to meet the needs of mobile users to access the Internet through wireless stations(WS)anytime and anywhere to obtain rich network resources, wireless local area network(WLAN)has emerged and developed rapidly.Because the coverage area of a single access point(AP)is limited,it is usually necessary to arrange multiple APs to complete the area coverage.Such a WLAN with dense APs is called a dense WLAN.In dense WLAN,how to select a suitable AP for WS is an urgent problem to be solved. This thesis mainly focuses on how to choose a suitable AP for WS in dense WLAN scenarios. It conducts research on WLAN access strategies from two aspects: the quality of service(Qo S)and the degree of network load balance.Based on game theory, three AP selection algorithms based on different criteria are proposed. The specific content is as follows:Aiming at the dense WLAN scenario,an AP selection algorithm that guarantees Qo S is proposed with the goal of maximizing the total network Qo S.In a dense WLAN,WSs with different states have different requirements for throughput. Therefore,a Qo S index is proposed to measure the satisfaction degree of WS with the actual throughput. In this algorithm,a centralized framework is adopted, and the Qo S requirements of different WSs are considered.Based on the game theory, the AP selection decision problem is modelled as a limited non-cooperative game, and the existence of the Nash equilibrium is proved.Numerical simulation results show that the algorithm is effective in improving the overall Qo S of the network.Aiming at the dense WLAN scenario,a load balancing-based AP selection algorithm is proposed based on load balancing. The purpose of network load balancing management is to balance the load differences between APs and improve the resource utilization of the network. In this algorithm, the load balancing index is used as an index to measure the degree of network load balancing, and the centralized framework and two-layer approximate game theory are used to manage the network to improve the overall network load balancing degree.Numerical simulation results show that the algorithm is effective in realizing load balancing.Aiming at the dense WLAN scenario,a multi-attribute weighted AP selection algorithm is proposed based on the joint optimization of network Qo S and network load balancing degree. In order to measure the overall performance of the network,a multi-attribute weighting index(MAWI)that weighs the average network Qo S and load balance is proposed. In this algorithm, the MAWI is used to measure the comprehensive performance of the network, and the centralized framework and two-layer approximate game theory are used to manage the network to improve the overall network comprehensive performance.Numerical simulation results show that the algorithm is effective in jointly optimizing network Qo S and network load balancing.
