At the end of Jun.2013, the scale of net-citizen of our nation has reached5.9hundred million; the Internet has been widely used in every aspect of daily work and life. However, with the incredibly increasing of the number of net-citizen, distinguishing sources of IP is an important concerned contents for many applications of Internet as well as enterprises who need high demands of Internet security. Information about source of IP address, ISP belonged, enterprise or personal who has IP address, or IP data package of the original host machine source and etc. are important contents for IP address location inquiring. The techniques based on traffic collection and IP inquiring location can help administrators of internet Web sites to locate on IP address’sources in different accuracy and enhance the security and the availability of Web site.Since methods that users access the Internet tend to be diversified, it is exceedingly difficult to design a system for various of different communication channels to inquire and locate IP address specifically. Since there have been several systems for inquiring and location of IP address’geographic information, the locating results can not be precise enough on some points, there is no such a good way to locate IP address in point-device, just like inquiring and location of IP address as well as related hosts’information before NAT transition. This paper determines to analysis IPV4net, which is widely used in nowadays, including schemes of distribution of IPV4net, organization structure of ISP, hierarchy of net distribution.The main works studied, practiced and described in this paper are summarized as the followings:l)The inner structure of IPV4net topology and different complicate nets will be studied in this paper, then an IP inquiring system which is based on inquiring of IP distribution records information database for non-enterprise inner net will be designed. For the actual situation of enterprise internal network, which contains a large number of private networks, a location system of private IP address within the enterprise based on technology of traffic acquisition and inquiring will be designed.2) The developing process of IP location and inquiring system based on traffic collection will be detailed introduced in this paper. Through access the WHOIS service, and analysis the return data, an inquiring subsystem of ISP source information of IP address will be designed, which returns a kind of simple and more readable results.Then, according to characteristics of ISP service provider and its IP address resource distributor, an IP inquiring and location subsystem, which is based on inquiring of IP address assignment records database will be designed. In view of the actual situation of network structure, an enterprise internal private IP address inquiring and location system based on traffic acquisition technology will be designed.3) The subsystem of inquiring of ISP information based on WHOIS service and the enterprise internal private IP address inquiring and location system based on traffic acquisition technology will be implemented. The system can be able to provide a nice interface and inquiring interface for users.In this paper, the result system of study, design and implementation has been successfully used for enterprise units cooperating with a safety monitoring system.
