Since the new century, taking vehicles has become an indispensable mean of transport.Vehicles provide conveniences, and at the same time, problems. Vehicular ad-hoc network, asan important part of transportation, gets more and more attention. This paper researches onthe ad-hoc network routing protocols, urban environment.Vehicle ad-hoc network is a special kind of Mobile ad-hoc network, but quite differentfrom Mobile ad-hoc network. Therefore, we can’t use the mobile ad-hoc network routingprotocol in the vehicle network without changes. Nowadays, the routing protocols use invehicle ad-hoc network mostly based on the modified protocol in the mobile ad-hoc network.Firstly, this paper introduces the research background, and the structure of the vehiclead-hoc network system. This paper then focuses on the typical routing protocol AODV inmobile network, and points out its problems when its application in vehicle ad-hoc network.Aiming at the disadvantages of the agreement, we put forward ideas to improve,AODV-BOND algorithm.The advantages of the algorithm is that when the network link is disconnected, accordingto the number of neighbor nodes and the neighbor threshold decided whether launching thelocal repair, and the neighbor threshold can also dynamically change. So as to improve localrepair success rate and reduce the data transmission delayFinally, we use the network simulation software to carry the AODV-BOND protocol andAODV on the simulation experiment, analyze the performance of the two algorithms. We getexpected experiment result to confirmed that the AODV-BOND algorithm is better thanAODV algorithm.
