The photoelectric encoder is a sensor that could convert the mechanical angle of shaft into digital electrical signal output used the method of optical and electrical. It combines the fields of electronics, computer, industrial, optical, and mechanical technology. Also, it is a comprehensive high-tech product. The encoder can measure angle, linear displacement, speed, and other analog physical quantities. The optimization of output signal is an important part in the encoder production process, and the signal quality directly determines the quality of the encoder. Now, the signal optimization equipments are mainly manual operation, which is time-consuming and laborious and is not easy to ensure the accuracy requirements. Therefore, it is necessary to research and develop a highly efficient, stable, intelligent signal debugging system.First of all, according to domestic and international development status and the subject requirements, hardware device of encoder signal intelligence optimization platform was initially selected, and the system includes:data acquisition card, graphics workstations, computers, adapters, etc. Also, the encoder rotation console was designed, and the signal intelligent optimization system hardware was built, and the related signal processing software was developed.Secondly, the impact of various factors on the encoder signal was detailed analyzed. And the three main quality evaluation parameters of encoder sine and cosine signal s-the offset amount deviation, the phase deviation and the magnitude deviation-were introduced. The calculation methods of the offset amount deviation, the phase deviation and the magnitude deviation were researched, and the correction method was proposed.Again, the evaluation criteria of encoder signal were analyzed and the preparation of encoder signal automatic debugging software were carried on. The functions of data communication, software debugging, calibration and automated determination were mainly researched, and then the preparation of intelligent optimization software was completed.The manual debugging system was used for testing automatic debugging encoder, and automatic debugging and calibration functions of system were mainly verified. According to the analysis of experimental data, the application of this system is not only able to complete the automated debugging of encoder output signal, but also it could ensure the accuracy requirements, and save a lot of manpower and time to improve production efficiency, so it could be used in the actual production and provide guarantee for high-volume production.
