Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex(OFDM) are the two core contents of the present LTE technology. With Space Division Multiplexing of MIMO technique, the system can easily acquire thespatial diversity and achieve capacity gain in wireless channels at constant system bandwidthand transmitted bandwidth. The multi-carriers modulation of the OFDM technology can greatlyimprove the utilization of spectrum. Also, frequency selective fading in wireless channels willbe decreased. Combining these two technologies brings higher spectrum utilization, more stablesignal transmission performance and faster transferring rates, so it will be one of the main trendsof the next generation mobile communication systems as well. This article is mainly focusing on Channel Estimation Algorithm and Signal DetectionTechnology, the key techniques for MIMO-OFDM system. The relating research is introducedbelow.1. Analysis on base models and fading channels in wireless channel. Explanation on basicconcepts and core technologies of MIMO-OFDM system.2. Research on Technique of Channel Estimation of MIMO-OFDM system, includingperformance simulations and comparison on LS algorithm, MMSE algorithm, interpolationbased on DFT as well as performance simulation on blind channel estimation algorithm basedon subspace.3. Study on signal detection algorithm of MIMO-OFDM system, including analysis andsimulating comparison on ML detection algorithm, MMSE detection algorithm and SDalgorithm which has been improved.
