Design And Realization Of Network Flow Monitoring System Of Guangxi University Of Finance And Economics

With the rapid development of information technology, computer network isbecoming more and more important in people’s daily life and work as it has beennecessary in offices and leisure spots. The extensive use of computer technology hasmade higher demands on network management. As a functional institution of spreadingscientific and cultural knowledge in the society, school has an indispensable demand oncomputer network. In recent years, informatization has been gradually popularized incolleges and universities and computer network has been more and more used inuniversity teaching and administration. Therefore, the network structure is beingincreasingly complicated and the management of computer network is becoming verydifficult.According to the management requirement of our university’s campus network, thearticle presents a design of network flow monitoring model which is based on SNMP(simple network management protocols) by analyzing several recent networkmonitoring technologies and studying the operation of SVG (scalable vector graphics)technology in network monitoring. and based on the J2EE platform to use some opensource toolkit to achieve network traffic monitoring WEB management system.The system collects data of network flow from node net at regular time and storesthem in corresponding database after the data were analyzed and handled. When needed,the relevant data will be recalled and generated to SVG pictures and implanted inHTML page. In this way, it can be used as an early warning of abnormal condition ofcampus network and speeds up the removal of network faults. At the same time, thesystem will be able to provide theory basis and technical information for future networkstructure upgrading.
