China is a major country for the production and export of textiles. After years of development, the textile industry has become the main force promoting China’s economic progress. Domestically, demand in China itself is an important driver for growth in the industry. Internationally, the global market still offers room for expansion as well as a great deal of opportunities. As the weather vane of the economic development of China, the textile industry needs to continue to introduce new technologies, improve product quality and heighten production efficiency, in order to come out on top in the competitive international environment that is the textile industry.The moisture content is an important parameter almost throughout the production process in the textile industry. The fabric production stability of process in testing and the moisture content of the fabric are closely related, particularly during the dyeing process. Through accurate and non-destructive measurement of said moisture content, For fabric need drying process, thus it’s possible to greatly improve the quality of the fabric and heighten production efficiency. In conclusion it can be said that by updating this particular aspect of the fabric production process, a significant improvement of the quality and scale of China’s textile industry can be achieved.In order to achieve the measurement of the moisture content of the fabric, I have developed and designed an online testing system reliant on temperature and humidity sensors, which also adheres to on-site environmental requirements. The system is powered by an ordinary battery, test data can be seen directly on a display, test data can also be stored on a memory chip, or output under test being completed, and also supports synchronous output in the process of testingThe system’s peripheral equipment offers a intelligent input and output manner. Among the most important characteristics and advantages are:the high sensitivity of the sensors used, it’s compact and easy-to-use, its power consumption is low, its life span is long and it fulfills all the requirements for use in fabric production and testing. Results of experiments have shown that the system is not only suitable for testing during fabric production, but also for scientific research and educational purposes.
