In recent years, the rapid development of the Internet, networks have beenexpanding, increasingly complex network structures, business functions more and morestrong, more significantly the importance of network management, while traditionalnetwork management workload, inefficient network now operational requirementscannot be met and therefore a perfect network management system has become aguarantee of reliable and stable operation of the network. Developed a sophisticatednetwork management system has a very important significance.In this thesis, focuses on these questions, a case study of campus network incolleges and universities, network management system for campus network visualizedmonitoring and Web development identified as a main object of study, an in-depthanalysis of today’s network management methods and techniques on the basis of theprinciple of, Visual monitoring, and Web network management had detailed discussionsand studies, mostly consists of:1. Network requirements analysis and design of Visual monitoring system, ananalysis of problems existing in campus network management, to evaluate existingnetwork running. Make network monitoring and management of critical Visualmonitoring system on network design, each functional module design, selection, anddata is stored to the database design.2. The platform structures and function modules, build Cacti open source networkmonitoring platform to programmatically implement data acquisition module features,network weather map module, network failure alarm module function, temperature andhumidity monitoring module functionality, user management module features and more.By researching RRDTool tools, improve database is stored, efficient storage andupdating of data, using a relational database, MySQL database design, data tables,optimize the structure of the data stored.3. Network visualized monitoring functionality tests to verify the effect of thesystem, set up the test environment, and deployed the system in the campus network,existing devices on the network are added to the system monitor, test the features of thevarious modules of the system respectively, drawing network weather map, access linkstraffic monitoring. Through the analysis of test data, further optimizes the frequency of data collection, and tune system performance.
