Textile industry is one of the pillar industries of China. Since three decades of reform and opening up, textile industry in China has made considerable progress especially in the21st century. Scientific and technological progress played a fundamental promoting role in this process. The self-dependent innovation of textile process, technology and equipments have been speed up quickly. And then the textile industry labor productivity and international competitiveness significantly have been improved, which has effectively supported the industrial restructuring and industrial upgrading and laid a solid foundation for the stronger development of the industry.However, it is can’t ignored that the gap between textile technology of China and the advanced textile technology in the world. To some degree, it depends on whether the producers mastery the advanced on-line detection technology. It plays an important role in enhancing textile quality control, improving and perfecting the methods of traditional quality control to research and develop the on-line detection technology.At present, the interfaces of tension data acquisition are based on the RS232, RS485and CAN more commonly. They can satisfy the specific application requirements on speed and accuracy, but when it comes to the high-speed transmission and multi-channel data acquisition, it can not be realized due to the restrictions of the PC slot and I/O port number. However, the Universal Serial Bus which has the features of high-speed, easy expansion, bidirectional,cheap and hot plug, can solve those problem well. So this paper focuses on the USB technology which can realize the multi-point tension data adquistion system. The paper mainly consists of the following contents.(1) The research on USB technology. In order to make full use of the advantages of USB interface technology which aims at achieveing the data acquisition system, the USB protocol and the selected control chip are researched in more detail.(2) Hardware circuit design of this system.The research aims at how to improve the sensitivity of the sensor and the accuracy of the tension detecting system. In particular, the analog circuit of the system is researched and designed particularly.It is mainly consists of the sensor output amplification circuitry,the constant current source circuit for the sensor bridge and the adjust amplifier circuit dc working point. In addition the design and research of the CY7C68013A-128AXC external circuit was carried out,which consists of the EEPROM interface circuit,the SRAM interface circuit and the A/D conversion circuit, etc.(3)The research on the lower computer software, the USB device driver and the upper computer software. Firstly the lower computer software is designed well, which mainly aims at the master-slave machine software interface of the high-speed data transmission. And in order to fully use the characteristics of the main control chip, some research have been done. Secondly the driver of the USB data acquisition system is researched and achieved well.The driver program of this system were developped by taking advantages of WinDDK and DriverStudio3.2, which mainly aims at the function design of the master-slave machine communication. In this connection more alternatives can be selected.Lastly,to achieve the upper computer software design, the man-machine interface was realized by fully using of the multi-thread processing technology in condition of VC++6.0. In this respect the research mainly aims at the real-time problems of the system.
