Musical reality competition shows, as the most watched television show inChina since2004, have had their ups and downs in national ratings and showformality. For years, Chinese producers tried really hard to inform the designs andprocedures of the shows, sadly no one can say he’s succeed. China’s televisionregulator, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, often criticizesthis situation, but very few have changed.Giving the circumstances, The Voice of China, part of the Dutch program TheVoice franchise, became the most watched reality competition show nationally in2012.What can we learn from those international reality competition shows in the skillsof producing and making the shows? And when can we finally be able to beindependent in the procedure of show making? To answer these questions, it isnecessary to analyze the pattern of importing the overseas musical competition realityshow, using the methods of case-study, comparative study, references analyze.There are four parts of the paper. First part is the introduction, explaining thepurpose, meaning and methods of the paper. The second part analyzing thebackground, formality of overseas and Chinese competition shows. The three partfocused on the specific case of The Voice of China, trying to concluding themarketing and remaking of the show. The final part tells the inspirations and strategiesof the importing overseas shows.
