In modern society, there is an increasing demand of the museum exhibitions. Museums respond these demands by improving their exhibition-quality and trying their best to build a learning-museum. It is one of so many advancements for improvements to use audio-visual communication in museum exhibition. Audio-visual communication comes to us accompanied by the developing of traditional multimedia and new media. There are many aspects in it, such as Virtual Reality, Multimedia, Theater system, and so on. So many aspects play an important role in each place. As an expression of display, audio-visual communication will increase the amount of information, reduce the fatigue which grows when people have a long-time to enjoy the exhibition. There are different functions for audio-visual communication in different place. It needs to be analyzed on different purpose of dissemination. What’s more, the performance of audio-visual has a wide variety. Whenever it is used alone or companied with other performance, the emphasis and affection are also influence in its own way. The same to its way for narrate and statement. Because of these above, we must make a clear awareness that it is not a wise choice to regard audio-visual communication as an essential one in museum exhibition. Before we use it, many works on verification about the content is much necessary. Only in this way, can audio-visual communication make a correct and important role in museum exhibition.
