The Research And Apply Of Virtual Gateway Based On WLAN For Smart Home

Smart home not only with the traditional function of living and provide a comfortable andsafe, high-grade and pleasant family living space, the structure also changes from passivelystationary to dynamicly intelligent, providing a full range of information exchange to help thefamily with the external keep the smooth communication, optimize people’s way of life, and caneven save the cost of family life. The domestic smart home products are not rich enough, poorcompatibility between the products, system scalability, and the high cost of use and maintenance.In order to overcome these defeacts, basing on the home network environment, consideringpractical application scenarios and cost, the use of wireless communication technology,combined with the Android mobile terminals and PC to build a common smart home platform.On the one hand, this system is easy to deploy and has high flexibility, on the other hand, theentire core of the intelligent home applications can be designed by the demands, so has goodscalability, while without a variety of specialized equipments and products, the cost will be muchlower.This paper firstly introduces the overview of the development of the smart home, combined with the common structures of the smart home system to get some ideas of smart home system design. After deeply studying of the composition of the smart home system architecture, while analyzing the system design selection of networking technology and network topology, discusses the feasibility of RF and WIFI technology used in system, finally based on the overall research proposing a design of the WLAN Smart Home system.Design for mobile terminal applications, firstly introducing the Android OS and how to build the development environment, secondly explaining the the specific function modules from shallow to deep, at last summarizing the experience of the actual development problems.Then the hardware and software design of intelligent home gateway system are mainly introduced in this paper. Elaborating the hardware design process of RF communication module, USB-TTL module, Ethernet-RF module, power module as well as the the working principle of each module. Meanwhile, in order to fit a variety of terminal equipment communication to develop center control background services, including communication services, storage services, and several typical application services. Communication services include network communication, serial communication, WIFI communication services; storage services involve local storage and network storage; typical application services consist of wireless wake-up service, VOIP voice service, and information sharing service.The entire system has a good user experience; stability and reliability of the system also have been sufficiently validated by testing in home wireless network environment.The most important thing is to take this hope to build a smart home system development platform, so that more people can build richer applications based on the existing communication technology and internet technology, and promote the development of the smart home industry.
