In decades, with the rapid development of economy in our country,the environmental and resource problems have become increasingserious and one of the most important impediments of economicdevelopment. As an important part of the entire social system, collegesand universities account for the bulk of China’s energy use. In China, theeconomical campus construction is promoted vigorously, and it has beenfollowed well. Building a conservation-minded campus is not only theneed of sustainable development in colleges and universities; it alsoprovides theoretical basis and demonstration for building aresource-conserving and environmentally friendly society.Aiming at the problems existing in the current construction ofeconomical campus in our country, and basing on summarizing theexisting energy saving system and management, an IOT-basedmonitoring system of campus energy conservation will be studied in thisthesis.Firstly, this paper analyzes how to design campus energyconversation monitoring system generally, and provides the goals ofsystem development, hierarchical structure, coding standards andsolutions starting from the internet of things (IOT) architecture. Thewhole monitoring system will be divided into three parts: airconditioning energy saving monitoring, lighting energy savingmonitoring, and multimedia energy saving monitoring.Secondly, according to the characteristics of the three parts,different intelligent controlling methods will be put forward. In view ofthe temperature control process of air conditioning have thecharacteristic of large time delay and time-varying, which result in thedifficulty of establishing precise model, this thesis has put forward acontrol strategy based on the combination of expert control and fuzzyadaptive PID control, and has conducted simulation by MATLAB, whichshows that the strategy can effectively reduce energy consumption of airconditioning. What’s more, fuzzy expert control method has been raised aiming at lighting energy conservation monitoring system, and it hasbeen proved that it can effectively reduce energy consumption oflighting through calculation.Finally, from the perspective of the hierarchical structure of the IOT,and with the combination of wireless sensor network and embeddedtechnology, the realization of the system will be introduced in detail, andgraphical interface design of the system will be realized under theenvironment of embedded graphical development. In terms of datastorage and analysis, the SQL Server database management system willbe used, which can provide scientific basis for economical campusconstruction.
