Wireless Sensor network is a novel technology about acquiring and processing information. It is a new research field of computer science and technology. Because of its high importance in many applications, sensor network becomes a new research hotspot.As the miniaturization of wireless sensor network nodes, the limit of battery power of nodes and it is hard to replace battery for nodes because of physical limitations, so that the battery power restrictions of sensor node become one of the most critical constraints for the design of wirsless sensor network, which directly determine the network working life. In this paper, wireless sensor networks had discussion on energy-saving technologies, and carried out in-depth research on wireless sensor networks dormancy algorithm which is the key technologies of energy conservation. This paper and proved it's effective contribution for energy conservation by simulation.And then,this paper suggest the improved LEACH algorithm which could classify to the clustering algorithm based on the algorithm mentioned above and proved it's feasibility and validity by simulation.This paper introduces the background of wireless sensor networks ,the research status at home and abroad, and the ideas and contents of papers at first. Then the concept of WSN, architecture and the application scope was introduced. Then discuss the energy-saving strategy of wireless sensor networks which including the energy-saving technique of the level of node for example power control technology and various energy-saving technologies of the network levels. Next this paper suggest a node sleep-scheduling based on density dominant, and describe the simulation process and simulation results and confirmed the contribution on energy-saving. Finally, the clustering algorithm based on the max residual energy was suggested under the premise of node sleep-scheduling based on density dominant.It reducing energy consumption of networks further, and proved it's feasibility and validity by simulation.
