In the manufacture of automobiles, metallurgy, war industry, aeronautics andastronautics, and shipping, pressure is one of the most important parameter. The gauging ofreal-time pressure will guarantee the carrying out of the modern and efficient manufacture.Thus, the technique of pressure gauging has drawn a lot of attention. It is quite necessary todevelop an intelligent and digital pressure-gauging device in tonnage level for the modernmanufacture.On the basis of principle and characteristics of metal strain gauge pressure transducer,the thesis develops an auto pressure gauging system in tonnage level basing on the ChipMicrocomputer AT89C52. After the research on the four column press, the choice of themetal strain gauge pressure transducer will be decided in accordance with the materials ofthe columns and the gauging result will be improved through designing the approach ofpressure transducer installing. Through the test of circuit by adopting the constant-currentsource bridge, the multistage amplifier and the efficient data-collecting method, thedata-collecting on the maximum impact pressure of the press will be realized. After beingprocessed by the Chip Microcomputer AT89C52, the data will be stored in the memory chipand displayed through LCD. The system, which will make an flashing alarm when the dataexceed the extreme, was characterized with high precision, high-speed, high stability andreliability.The simulation and alignment are carried out through the PROTEUS in the thesis, bywhich the schedule in advance will be achieved. By analyzing the data, the causes of theerror in the pressure gauging system will be figured out and a prospect of the furtherdevelopment of the system will be given. This system can be applied to all types of pressand will open a scope to the test, display and manipulation of other mechanical products.
