The Hydropower Station is complex which contains water, mechanical, electricity. itsspatial structure is complex, especially multi-level plant buildings, complex equipmentand pipe lines."Hydropower is a comprehensive Water Resources and HydropowerEngineering professional, very practical professional courses, the" Hydropower teaching,usually books teaching mostly through pictures and schematic description of the powerstation and substation to explain the composition and during operation, The students lackthe entity power plant intuitive, awareness and understanding of the image; Even if aninternship in the field, out to the point of production safety and personal safetyconsiderations, as well as practice time and space constraints, the students can onlyroughly observe the appearance of power stations and substations, without depth andintuitive understanding of its internal structure and operation process. As for how toimprove the quality of the highly engineering courses teaching, the project was developedbased on virtual reality technology demonstration system of three-dimensional simulationof hydropower stations and substations.References Qingjiang River Longtan Hydropower Station and electric power plantreal data, using a combination of3ds max and Virtools technology, diversion typehydropower station simulation demo system. Hydropower Station layout and electricalequipment using the3ds max technology to create three-dimensional models, the damplant generators layer turbine layer, substation auxiliary plant, office space and otherpower station hub and generator, turbine, machine next to the plate, hydraulic devicetransformers, high-voltage tower, isolating switches, circuit breakers, capacitors and otherelectrical equipment. On this basis, elaborated in the Virtools platform for hydro roamingfunction of the realization of the simulated river flow and hydropower equipment show;rotation of power plant equipment, scaling layers display, peel the multi-mode display,distribution cabinet interactive demolition process and working principle of dynamicdisplay features such development. The system as hydropower teaching aids software, collaborate with teachers to explain the composition and working principle of the layoutof the power station and power station equipment, improve the quality of teaching, and toovercome the deficiencies in traditional teaching.
