With the rapid development of mobile Internet terminals, the demand for mobileInternet applications is growing, leading to data flow presents the explosive growth state. But the mobile operators have been acting as the negative role of the data pipeline in thetransmission of data traffic. The increase in income of mobile data services is not obvious. In order to change this situation, the mobile operators need to manage the data flow, andbring good service experience to the user to achieve revenue increase. So building "smartpipes" for meticulous management of data flow is an important step of trafficmanagement. This thesis analyzes the successful model of flow management by foreign operators, and proposes a distributed traffic management system based on CORBA. The systemcombines deep packet inspection technology, the distributed management technical ofCORBA specifications and flow control technology to achieve distributed trafficmanagement system of mobile users. The functions of the system include the applicationlayer protocol analysis and statistic, access control based on user group, time and location, and bandwidth-based flow control. After particular investigation of user demand, thethesis completes the following tasks:1)Design the functions of the entire system anddescribe the functional structure of hardware platform;2)Divide the system into flowdetection module, flow control module and traffic data statistics module, then do thedetailed design of them, and elaborate concrete implementations of the flow controlmodule;3) Achieve a more comprehensive test of the functionality of the core module. The analysis of test results shows the design is in line with user demand function.According to the optimization design of business process in distributed trafficmanagement, it achieves a system with stable, rich management interface. While theproposed flow control policy has very important reference for the mobile user trafficmanagement.
