Infrared image simulation simulates the process which the infrared thermal radiationspreads in the atmosphere, occurs photoelectric conversion in the receiving apparatus andgenerates systematic effects. Infrared image simulation has very important applicationvalue in the different field. The article studies the technological process of classicalinfrared image simulation and develops a set of infrared simulation platform to perfect theexisting infrared simulation method. The system can simulate scenes including target andbackground in the different atmospheric conditions of different bands.First, the article introduces different classical simulation software and lays down theframework of infrared simulation platform which. After simply introducing the principleand process of infrared imaging, the article proposes the method and process of infraredimage simulation. The article introduces each module of the process including the datastorage structure of3DS model, reading data from the model, three-dimensional display,versatile meshing, analyzing the infrared characteristics of the scene, atmosphericradioactive transferring, and the systematic effects module. The3DS model uses blockstorage which realizes diversify meshing easily. First, the article introduces the way whichthe3DS stored. Then, read data and achieve the function of three-dimensional display andhuman interaction by OPENGL. After that, the article introduces the principle oftriangulation network of Delaunay and sets the corresponding grids parameters fordifferent part of3DS model to realize meshing in different density levels. At last, we runthe infrared imaging simulation based on the temperature and calculate the energy ofevery pixel.Then we get the final infrared image after the atmospheric transport moduleand systematic effects. The system is developed by QT frame and OPENGL3D graphicslibrary in the VS2008environment. The result reflects the infrared characteristics of thetarget. The article makes out a summary for the full text, presents the innovation points ofthe article and points out the points that should be improved.
