In the past decade, content distribution industry has been booming, along with the rapiddevelopment of Internet video applications. Evolving content distribution networktechnology is instrumental in promoting the development of Internet video industry.However, as the network traffic becomes being full of video, the video becomes highdefinition, the number of end users becomes massive, it’s an enormous challenge to assureQoS quality for CDN, since with poor scalability. At the same time, Content providers andISPs have been building self CDN, leading to many isolated CDNs in the Internet. Theseisolated CDNs will not communicate each other, even have barriers between them, whichis not only detrimental to the development of the Internet, but also a waste of resources. Insuch a context, the solution of CDN open interconnection has been becoming a researchhotspot. That’s also what this paper to do.This article focuses on the research of exploring the driving force, interconnection model,and commercial relationships of CDN Interconnection from the point of view of theeconomic model, and design and evaluate a request routing solution of CDNinterconnected system policy, through which CDN can maximize profit.Explore why CDNs interconnect as well as the possible business relationships betweenthem, from the perspective of economic models. Analysis basic economic environmentand market structure of content distribution industry, and obtain strategy selectioncollections of stakeholders (CP, CDN and ISP). Compare those collections by usingSWOT analysis theory and then obtain driving factors resulting in CDN interconnection.Further, design CDNI business relationships, comprehensively considering interestdemands of the different stakeholders.Design two modes of distribution of benefits in CDN interconnected ecosystem, underprinciple of contribution balance. Summarize and refine two basic connection mode ofCDNI economic model from the point of view of business relationships. For each one,design the corresponding distribution mode of benefits, and elaborate the drive capacity ofmaking CDN connect and the impact to CDNI industry chain in theory.Design and evaluate a request routing solution of CDN interconnected system, under principle of maximizing the benefits. On the basis of previous study, analyze stakeholdersprofit maximization strategy set by game theory, and then design the request routingpolicy, including interactive module, decision-making algorithm, the routing process, aswell as interactive information content. The experimental simulation shows that therouting strategy can bring interconnected CDN cost optimization and maximization ofprofit, and be able to promote CDN to connect.
