The Research Of Delay Limited Adaptive Streaming Transmission And Implementation Of Streaming Media Server

With streaming media technology is widely used, some streaming media fields, suchas video conference and video surveillance, have a higher requirement for delay.however due to the dynamic and complexity of network, the larger differences will leadto delay, So this thesis presents a time delay limited adaptive streaming transmissionstrategies used in streaming media server.Through testing and analyzing the delay on all aspects during transmission, thisthesis reveals the cache for the importance of timing optimization, presents cacheoptimization strategies for server and client. In order to maintain low latency in morenetwork conditions, this thesis adds feedback mechanism during transmitting streamingmedia, uses packet lost rate to determine the current network status, then presents ahierarchical transmission strategy, so the server can change the encoding parameters tomeet the current network condition. Finally, completes a streaming media server with thestreaming protocols.This thesis starts by describing the background of the streaming technology and thesignificance of the subject; then introduces the basic theories of streaming technology, doa detail analysis of the delay in streaming system, and present a delay optimization withnetwork adaptive strategy. Then, achieve the overall architecture of the streaming mediaserver, describes the design and implementation of the key modules in this server, wedemonstrate the feasibility of the research achievements by testing the media server.Finally, do a brief summary of the achievements and give an outlook on further research.
