With the development of our industry, we put more attention on the surface quality andcomplex contour of mechanical parts; while in our own country, we are now facing manyproblems in the mechanical area, such as high precision and high-efficient digitalmanufacturing. In order to solve these problems and promote the development of ourmechanics, we should try our best to promote the detection technology. Traditional detectiontechnology can not meet the needs of the requirements of modern detection because of thehigh precision. In order to get the surface information of mechanical parts especially complexfreeform efficiently, we come up with contact method and non-contact optical scanningmethod based on Coordinate Measuring Machine. This project proposed a complex surfacereconstruction method based on Fiber Optic Displacement Sensor. The method has greatsignificance and application prospects.The project introduced the purpose and significance of this topic and the development ofreverse engineering, and then introduced the problems and the common solutions faced in thereverse engineering, such as data acquisition, data preprocessing and surface reconstruction.The project introduced the data acquisition systems based on VC++and yuechuang MP08SPand the motion control systems based on VC++and Advantech USB4704. The projectintroduced the effects to characteristic curve of Optical Fiber Displacement Sensor caused bythe shape of the detected surface, proposed the path planning in the process of detection;introduced the common methods used in the point cloud data processing and proposed themethods used in this topic; introduced the neural network theory and proposed thereconstruction algorithm based on radial basis function neural network. The platform andalgorithm were validated by an aluminum alloy in the laboratory. Finally, I sum up this projectand gave some suggestions.
