The Study On American Overseas Newspapers Development Situation From2003to2012

American overseas Chinese newspapers and periodicals was published in the18thcentury.Now it has becomes a backbone to support the social structure for the overseasChinese moreover it plays a positive role in the respect of maintaining their interest,spreading Chinese culture and sending out China’s voice.With the rise of China, the world set out a burst of "China craze". Therefore, the statusof overseas Chinese newspapers and periodicals have improved rapidly, meanwhile it alsoface the severe challenges such as the small scale development,lacking of funding, thebackward management model, narrow living space and the intense market competition.Overseas newspapers and periodicals or the Chinese government should pay attention tothis situation.This paper introduce the current development of overseas newspapers andperiodicals by using the related knowledge of journalism and communication.Furthermore, it also analyzes its development dilemma and makes suggestions to itslong-term healthy development.
