The hardware-in-the-loop simulation is a branch of simulation technology, and it’sof the highest degree of confidence, in the various simulation systems, alsorepeatability, economic, security, and many other advantages.So it can help to shortendevelopment cycles, reduce development costs and make up for the lack of actualexperience.This paper researched the hardware-in-the-loop simulation of fused quartzfurnace control system. The main works and innovations of this paper are as thefollowings.First, this paper focused on the theoretical research of the hardware-in-the-loopsimulation technology, and proposed the real-time semi-physical simulation platformarchitecture based on extended RTX that supports MATLAB simulation languagemodeling and visualization modeling. Through the study of shared memory technologyand its improved algorithm, carries on research of parallel real-time simulationprogram and data exchange technology; using DAQ module of MATLAB to integratehardware driver and solve the external physical interface problem.Secondly, on the basis of the researche of the working principle,structure,crafts andcontrol system of fused quartz furnace and it’s modeling theory, this paper establishedthe dynamic model of fused quartz furnace;Thirdly, the paper designed the architecture of the hardware-in-the-loop simulationplatform, it including the virtual object of fused quartz stove and it’s PLC controlsystem,PC monitoring system, communication interface and Web publishing features;And designed and developed the scystem platform, it including the software of virtualobject, PLC control software and PC monitoring software. On the basis of this, thepaper also established a networking remote simulation environment to accessing to theWeb server through a browser and completing the simulation and network computingtasks through using Matlab Web Server;Fourthly, the testing and verification based on the established simulation platform is necessary, it includes the system performance test, modeling experiments of controlobject dynamic process, the software system, control method and control loopperformance experiments, and can be further simulated a variety of predictablesituations that may arise in the normal and actual production, then according to thesimulation results to analyze and verify the feasibility of the experimental system;Through the combination of loop simulation and virtual laboratory technology, it’scan to develop the network virtual experiment system and build a network of remoteexperiment environment, then the development of the experimental platform closer tothe real industrial field is possible. This work provided an experimental platform toimprove the model of the fused quartz furnace and the algorithm of control system.
