With the development of networks , teaching and tele-education which are based on networks attracts more and more people, and people attach more importance to the building of virtual laboratory. Virtual experiment means simulating idiographic experiment circumstance, object and process through multimedia, simulation and Vrml technology idiographic. Virtual experiments based on web are all kind of virtual experiments under tele-network circumstance.In order to make virtual experiments, especially to develop web-based virtual labs, this paper briefly introduces web-based virtual labs, explores the planning, organization structure and function division of the building of virtual lab platform, and points out some critical technologies concerning the building of virtual labs, and thus theoretically completes a design of the computer interface web-based virtual lab.The computer interface web-based virtual lab adopts the combined method of multi-media technology, virtual technology and simulation technology based on the mode of web, aiming at a variety of basic experiments of computer interface circuits. The multi-media means helps students have a deep understanding of the principle of interface circuits and their related background knowledge, and at the same time creates an experimental environment with high fidelity, virtual technology can make the hardware interface circuits be created by software, while circuit simulation function assures a genuine experiment result with higher intellectual power and opening.The creative points of this project lie in the researching of the Web-based laboratory(including the designing rules, the platform planning and the system structure), the simulation of I/O interface circuit and the virtual experiment platform in a multi-media environment, which adopts pure software methods. It is quite difficult and has considerable technology contents. The completion of the project can betechnologically divided into these parts: the building of simulation experimentalenvironment, the making of virtual electronic components, the completion of I/O interface circuit simulation and the making of multi-media and the systematic synthesis.
