Brand era evolved into a contest between the media brand competition, it brings challenges as well as new chances to the development of Local Communist Party Magazines. Facing the threaten of new media and traditional media brands competition for resources, how to take advantage from brand communication is the key factor for local communist party magazines to success. This research will focus on the concept of brand communication to investigate the success experience of local communist party magazines. Furthermore, this research is to find out the problems that local communist party magazines are facing and the root causes. On that basis, three strategies of brand communication are developed for local communist party magazines to resolve current issues.Local communist party magazines have brand characters of party spirit, authority, regionalism and profundity. Hence they are different from the other magazines, even the national party magazines. As a result, brand communication of local communist party magazines shall not simply copy the strategy of other Medias, but shall establish their own communication model. Although local communist part magazines has some success experience on establishing sense of brand communication and distributing on diversified communication channels, they also faces problems such as brand homogenization, low readability and low integration of communication integration.In terms of the current situation and the trend of media Convergence, their brand communication shall focus on differences, integration and interaction. Firstly, brand communication strategy must focus on creating differentiation. To develop differentiated products, local communist party magazines can strength its impression to readers, hence establish its own reputation in the society. Furthermore, brand integration strategy must focus on extending communication channels and keeping information consistent in all channels. By integrating content, uniting communication channels and methods, local communist party magazines will be able to meet the massive needs of readers. Last but not least, brand interaction strategy shall enhance readability, to strengthen the relationship with readers. The last section of this essay will preview the trend of brand communication of magazines of local communist party.
