Nowadays, wireless sensor networks have been applied to the detection platform, earlywarning systems, even highly dangerous no man’s land monitoring system according to theircharacteristics. However, the problem of energy consumption has hindered the developmentand application of wireless sensor networks. Carry a limited amount of energy as aprecondition to the network nodes, wireless sensor network node energy consumptiondistribution, scheduling node sleep can reduce the energy consumption of nodes, andefficient use of node energy and prolong the duration of use of wireless sensor network node.Because there are too many factors affecting the node sleep, and most sleep schedulingalgorithms consider the factors that affect sleep is not comprehensive enough, consideringonly one or two factors judgment to scheduling node sleep, energy-saving effect is obvious. This thesis presents a sleep scheduling algorithm based on node activity, and based onthe classification of sleep factors affect network node, determine the degree of active ofnetwork nodes within the region, which reflects the degree of redundancy node sends. Itidentifies the node sleep time and schedules nodes sleeping. Compared the sleep schedulingalgorithm with random sleep scheduling algorithms and synchronization timing sleepscheduling algorithm simulation, and through comparing with node sending times undercontrol of different algorithms, it could find that the nods could weigh more factors ofsleeping, which is under control of node-based active scheduling algorithm sleep. At thesame time it reduced the energy consumption of network nodes. It will achieve the algorithmin the pig farm environmental monitoring system, extending the life cycle of the node.
