The Semantic Web is a good vision of the future network. In the Semantic Web, web content is given certain meaning. SPARQL query language is specially designed for the semantic Web query. In this paper, on the basis of existing research results, broadly describes the SPARQL query syntax, deeply discusses the Part-Whole relation in the ontology, expand SPARQL combined with the characteristics of the Part-Whole relation, and check the feasibility on Jena platform.Through to the SPARQL query language research, we find that the SPARQL query can be extend to improve the semantic Web query precision rate and recall rate. Then, in view of the semantic Web query and SPARQL expanding demand, this paper analyzes the basic relationship and its characteristics in the ontology. Part-Whole relationship is a kind of classification of ontology, it referred to describe partial and whole relations, and its rich reality semantics can describe the real world of objective things. Moreover, we discuss what kind of relationship between information just satisfied transitivity, and use the transitivity relationship to build rich semantic ontology in the field of geography. Thus we can expand the SPARQL query language. This paper mainly extends the SPARQL query by Part-Whole relationship. The above research work is preparing for extension. This paper puts forward the implementation of the extension scheme:users provide a Mapping Library in advance, the Mapping Library stored Winston’s classification of ontology mapping between attributes; according to Winston’s Part-Whole relationship classification, computer predefines Meta Level Transformation Rules; mappings in the SPARQL graph pattern are generated by these transformation rules; and rewrite SPARQL graph pattern. Then applying Eclipse import Jena packet, and implement SPARQL to query Semantic Web. In the end, this paper analysis and compare the query results between conventional and extended SPARQL.
