Study On Construction Of Archival Information Resources Based On The Public Demand

Archives are the native information resources and the important social and cultural wealth which record historical development of country, ethnic and society, inheriting social memory, human civilization and national culture. The construction of archival information resources should be based on meeting the social public archival information demand, fully tap the value of archival information resources, maximizing its contribution to the social development, and sharing archival information resources.This paper aims to make the direction of the construction of archival information resources clear by analyzing the social public archival information demand, hoping to improve the effectiveness of social services of archival information resources. Firstly, this paper discussed the general characteristics of the social public archival information demand, including diverse, networked, hierarchical, and in-depth, and analyzed the different characteristics of archival information demand of administrative staff, research technician and ordinary citizens, and pointed out that the archival information demand of the public is influenced by both subjective and objective factors. Then the paper analyzed the problems of the construction of archival information resources from the perspective of the public demand, discussing the problems in service concept, management system and strategic planning in the aspect of service concept and management system, the problems in content and structure of information, service, infrastructure construction in the aspect of information elements construction, the problems in the subject, concept and ways of information resources development and the issues of the construction of laws and regulations and civil rights protection in legal dimension. Finally from the perspective of the public demand, proposed the solutions to these problems.
